Taking Action, One Piece at a Time

Since August 2023One Piece Please (OPP) has been making waves across Southern Californiaโ€™s coastlines and local communities. What started as a simple call to actionโ€”to take just one extra piece of trashโ€”has grown into a movement of passionate individuals, families, and businesses committed to protecting our beaches and oceans.

Weโ€™ve organized impactful cleanups at some of San Diegoโ€™s most iconic beaches, including:

  • Ocean Beach
  • Mission Beach
  • South Mission Beach
  • Pacific Beach

These events have brought together volunteers of all ages and backgrounds, proving that small actions truly do lead to big change.

One of our most memorable efforts was a community cleanup at WeBe OB, where we didnโ€™t just focus on the beach. Our amazing volunteers went above and beyond, removing over 50 pounds of trash and completely cleaning the entire parking lotโ€”sweeping, collecting debris, and leaving the space better than we found it. This event exemplified how much can be accomplished when the community comes together.

Growing Community Support

Our cleanups have gained incredible momentum as more individuals, families, and even local companies step up to do their part. Businesses are reaching out to partner with us, volunteers are bringing friends and family, and entire communities are rallying around our mission. This growing support empowers us to expand our efforts and protect more coastal areas.

Here are some of our past cleanups! Together, we have collected over 600 pounds of trash off of our beaches and communities. Remember, if it is on the ground, chances are, it will make its way to the ocean!

Our Next cleanup will be at Robb Field Park on February 22, 2025 located at:
